I use the snowblower the most....about 7 months out of the year.

The 31" PTO powered cordwood saw gets many hours on it each summer.

The 3-pt rake is probably next, as I use it to clean up after hedge trimming, as well as after each batch of logs I cut up.

The PTO generator gets quite a bit of use, as I use it to power my air compressor, plasma cutter, air tools, power grinders, drills, and the welder when I'm building something in the yard.

The tiller gets a good workout in the Spring and Fall.

I use all of my implements at least once each year, including the John Deere single row planter, fertilizer spreader, lawn roller, garden hiller, single bottom plow, cultivator, boom sprayer, and post-hole auger.

I may have forgotten a few.

Joel ....

In terms of most use I must say the forks on the FEL are definitely it.

A close second is the rear blade, it's hefty enough (485 pounds) to act as a decent counterweight and with full motion hydraulics it's super easy to operate, so it's on the rear until I need some other tool.

After that, in order of use are; utility bracket for FEL, wood-splitter, wood chipper, box blade, scarifier, rake, post hole auger.

Best of luck. ....

bugs did answer you but if you are new to using pto some suggestions: do not release that clutch quickly. you are engaging the pto as any other gear. Be sure the pto implement is not loaded to such so have such as tiller or mower raised before you engage the pto. No idea on your tractor but if it does not have a over running pto a heavy rough cut mower will push you when you try to stop enough to put you in a ditch or pond. It probably does have over running clutch built in but be careful. PTO rough cut mowers can be very dangerous. My brother had a blade to break and thru it like 70 feet. Was told this summer of a commercial cutter having blade to break and it cleared I know at least one house and went into the roof or wall of another house.

As to implements used: on compact tractor is is either mower, landscape rake but is used a lot with 55 gallon sprayer. We use the sprayer for weeds, insects and also for washing buildings.

On bigger tractor even with farming the last few years it has had dump trailer work more than anything else. But with farming from disk to cultivators to planter and sprayer. Of the farming tools disk use more hours than any other implement. Looking next year to possible reducing the disking. ....

A single shank subsoiler can be very useful if you think outside the box. Great for digging small stumps. Great to help with bigger ones. Great for laying wire, water line or such.Great for finding stumps under ground. Even great at breaking up hardpan. Can use for digging trench to plant seeds or transplants by hand. Can use it to loosen dirt that must be shoveled out by hand for ditch or wide trench. ....

If I mentioned this earlier I have over looked it but running a subsoiler around any crop each year will really help keep trees and other non crop roots out. You will be surprised how deep tree roots will go to get to fertilizer or water. ....

For CUT my landscape rake has ended up getting used more for my driveway and yard than anything else. Next would be tiller, then rotary cutter. Rear blade got used in conjunction with front snowplow during winter until I got my CTL - now the tractor mostly sits idle during winter as the CTL clears snow so much faster. ....

Hi Harry,

CUT stands for Compact Utility Tractor.
CTL stands for Compact Tractor Loader right?

Do you have two Tractors or you add the Loader to one tractor and use in the winter vs a front mounted Snow Blade on the same tractor.

I thought a Snowblade would be better than a loader for removing snow on the same machine.

But I see you have an L Kubota so that the bigger size may be the clincher.

Curious how the loader is better than the blade for your use?

Thanks for any help. Snow should be far away but never too soon to prepare.
