For a small tractor you may be better off to rent or hire someone do your backhoe work.
The PTO is only 17 H.P with engine power only 21 H.P. Looks as if the tractor is overloaded now..

a MF 471 is a 70 H.P Tractor and all can be overloaded. Massey-Ferguson makes a Great Tractor and not many people have a problems with them,unless they have been abuse. And i would say this tractor has been overloaded and abuse.
I would suggest to get a bigger Tractor with more Horse power.And a Massey-Ferguson,I love Red Massey-Ferguson Tractors,been using them since 1957. and still have a 1959 -65 Massey that runs as a dream but it has been taken care of and well service.And never abuse.

In My Oil I use 1 Quart of Lucus Oil and then finish filling with regular oil ,seems to make the engine last and run better ,I have 4 tractors and 2 trucks and a car and I do this to all of them.

www.tractordata.com doesn't give the year of your tractor they was made from 1979 - 1987,Type in Belarus Tractor parts and you will see several dealer and parts ask if they know.

I think that is the oil light, check oil or replace it and filter, I bet it will go off.
If water is in Oil You may have a head gasket that is bad also.

Seems to me that the person who rebuilt your engine didn't torque the bolts to the clutch and motor,I would take it back to him and let it be his baby ...a do over.

sounds as if you have water in your hydraulic fluid, check ,pull dipstick out of transmission or read end if the fluid looks milky ,you have water in that fluid. Drain and I flush the system with diesel fuel about 5 gallons and run 2 or 3 minutes drain and fill with new Hydraulic fluid,And you could have a bad pump if so you can find one at 877-530-4430 Ag-Parts and most times they will have one. and with a year warranty.
