OK, I have a B2150 with FEL. Sometimes when I go into a manuer pile and lift the loaded bucket the right front will seem to dip and raise the left rear side of the tractor. I have checked the air pressur and it seems ok, what's causing this. Does it have to do with the hyd. on one side of the FEL not working? When I pull away it lifts ok, just when I'm deep down in the pile and start to lift, doesn't do it if I start higher.

I'm not usre I read it right, but it sounds like you mean the loader itself is working right--it goes up and down like normal, but the tractor is lifting in the rear and tilting to one side.

If yes, then that is normal. It's an indication that you are at or beyond the lifting capability and better not do that.

If no, and the loader is actually torquing or twisting to one side, you may have air in the cylinder that is retracting allowing it to compress and twist the loader arms. ....

When you're in the seat and the tractor's axle-deep in the pile you can't see the bottom of the fronts. Have someone lift the back of your truck while you watch them. Then you'll see that the solution is an extra 10-15 psi. Many owners manuals are not clear on the need to increase front pressures for this.

Compared to the old heavy farm tractors, your bucket is relatively big for your unit. That's possible because of design improvements, inclduing 4WD. Therefore, at maximum down-force, the fronts squish and the rear pulls up, usually one side first. Could be a rare hydraulics or structural issue, but I'd look to the tires first. ....

OK, thanks everyone for the advice. I will put some more air in the front tire and see if that makes a diifereance, I also expect that I'm expecting too much, but could not understand why it always dives to the front right and never the left side. ....

8x56mn,

I agree that one front tire might be a bit low on air.

Please check to be sure that both loader quick disconnect pins are fully seated all the way through the loader uprights. Also check your loader bracket bolts to be sure that they haven't worked loose.

This is entirely unrelated to your particular issue, but when doing loader work, it's extremely important that you check the lug nuts on all four wheels. This is something that is usually overlooked.......and can really mess up your day.

Joel ....

These are probably not your problems but I'll throw them out there anyway.

Are both front tires the same size?
Are both rear tires the same size?
Is the rear ballasted equally right to left?
Could one rear tire be loaded with fluid and the other not?

Stranger things have happened. ....

I'd be thinking the other way around.

Both cylinders are plumbed together, but that doesn't mean they both do equal work. It could be that one cylinder has a slight leak, causing the other side to go up first. After you start driving the loader geometry and tension in the steel will cause it to even out.

Try swapping cylinders left to right and see if the problem goes away or changes sides.

Best of luck. ....

Bothe tires on front are the same, and both rear are the same, no ballest. I do have a very slight leak down I have noticed, perhaps as was suggested one cylyder is low on fluid and takes a while to catch up, however it doesn't appear to change after operating for a period of time. This happened once last year when I was moving pea stone and I added air to the right front. I put air in last night up to 35 psi, but it still acted the same, do you think I should add more and if so how much. Please excuse the spelling errors, no spell check on this sight. ....

On a CUT the front tires/axle have no bearing on the tractor leaning since it floats. However, on a true (articulated) front end loader, the rear axle floats--and even then it has no effect on the stability.

Even if one or both tires were so low to the point they were ready to come off the rims, the only reaction the tractor/loader would have would be up and down movement since the rear tires' contact patch becomes the fulcrum.

The rear tires dictate where the loader will be.

If one tire were extremely low, and let's say it squished 3", the front of the tractor would only drop half that because the front axle pivots in the center. ....

Is it possible you favor one side over the other in loading? From what I read it does not seem that way but if you are working from one side of the piles toward the other you may be placing more weight or the piles of manure may be packed more in one area. ....

It sounds like to me you are trying to pickup the hole pile and you can't do that. Try pulling the top down, it well be nice and loose and you can pick it up at high idle. Less ware on you tractor and it's easy to fill the bucket with no tire spin. I don't think there is anything wrong with your tractor. ....

Well I believe trying to pick too much was the problem. I have been working the pile top down and no problem so far. I guess I was expecting too much from my little girl. Thanks to everyone for the help. This site is the best for quick responses. ....
