I have a chance to buy a set of turfs (front and rear) that were ordered for an L3130 but were never installed on any tractor. They are on Kubota rims ready to go.
Sizes are 29 X 12.5 X 15 front and 44 X 18.00 X 20 rear.
Will these fit my L3010? Does anybody know if they are the recommended sizes by Kubota?
What's a fair price to offer for the set?
If this works out I will go with turfs for the summer and put the ags back on for frozen ground and snow season. The ags are tearing up the lawn.

This won't be a direct answer to your question, and sorry if it's obvious, but if you have an owners manual for your L3010 it may have the information you seek. I've not seen an L3010 manual but the JD manuals generally have tire and wheel sizes of all OEM tire and wheel combinations offered for a particular machine. ....

The main issue is whether the rims will fit. You can likely find someone at the Kubota head office to ask, or maybe on a Kubota newsgroup.
I think so but am not totally sure if the F/R ratios, of course right for the model they're made for, would still be correct if installed on a different model. So unless yours has a F/R differential, or you find out they're OK, don't use 4WD in the summer except on slippery ground. And if you were to have the rears liquid-filled, they would be heavy for on/off twice a year.

I have run both ag and contrustion tires a good bit on compact and larger tractors on lawn with little damage by the rear tires unless the ground was very wet. Front tires in 4 wd or turning real sharp very quickly will damage as the front tires slip and dig into the ground.
Realize the type of grass and ground all affect this and what works here may not for another. kt ....

I solved my own problem. Checking the manual, the tires that are currently for sale were recommended as a turf option for the L4310 in the year that my tractor was manufactured. The recommendation for my L3010 was a smaller turf tire size.
So, I will pass on this one. It's interesting because I had always thought that the L3130 was more or less a direct replacement for the L3010. Evidently it's a bigger tractor. On the other hand, the ad says that the tires were purchased for an L3130 but I have no other information to back that up. ....

There are two different sizes that are involved here.
First, the size of the rim, this is the biggie, if the rim doesn't work, the game's over, period.
Secondly, the tires, but more importantly is the ratio between the front & rear tires. Without doing the math, I'd bet the ratio is just fine since it's from a 'sister' machine that would have similar gearing.
That said, if you put larger or smaller tires on the tractor doesn't matter a hill of beans as long as you change by the same amount on both the front & back tires.
As an example, we run huge turf tires on the tractors that keep our turf fields cut, they sort of look like 'monster trucks' except they're tractors. The only impact is that there is nowhere near the low end power as it had on the factory tires, but on the other hand they will go about 40 mph wide open.
The only real limits you have are the tires rubbing or something like that, past that, go to town.
Just out of curiosity, how much are they looking to get for the 4 tires & rims?
Best of luck. ....

They're on eBay - Buy It Now at $1500 or make an offer. They are located in Rhode Island, which is within range for me and my F-250. Would be a day trip for me. ....

Paladin,
I believe you'll find that the turf tires are actually better on snow and ice than the ag tires you're currently using.
Turf tires offer far better traction on snow and ice than do any of the other types.
You'll only miss having your ag tires when it comes to plowing, pulling a cultivator, or when doing any other chore that requires heavy pulling in soft soil.
Bottom line.........you won't need to change your tires and wheels out twice each year. Go with the turf tires year-round.

I don't know if turfs get better traction than ag on all types of snow but here I've never needed any more snow traction than the ag tires give. And turfs would be worthless in the mud (and maybe even on dry clay - R4s stink on the dry, powdery clay we have here in the summer). ....

Well, I bought them at $1250 back in April. I told the guy to just let me know when my check cleared and I would be up there in my truck to get them. Actually, even that is changed because I got a bid on UShip to deliver them for what is only about $50 more than my gas cost to go get them, not to mention tolls. As it stands now, they will be delivered next Wednesday.
I just can't keep using the ags except in winter and the dryest part of the summer. I have about 8 acres in lawn and pasture and the ags just tear the heck out of it in our (wet) Pennsylvania spring and fall. I don't need the 'bota for plowing snow anyway because I collect Ford N's and I have an 8N with snow plow, chains and full wheel weights kept ready to go all winter. I have tried everything that I could think of with the 'bota to lighten it including unloading the rears and using a weight box for occasional heavy loader work, and dropping the bucket off when I do not need it (Great Bend loader, quick detach bucket). It still makes an awful mess of the lawn in spring and fall. Hopefully, the turfs will help with the problem and I can use the 'bota for Bushhogging with my 5 foot Bushhog "Squealer". Right now the Squealer is on a 60 year old Ford 2N, which believe it or not is easier on the pasture. ....

Paladin,
You'll be very happy with the turf tires. I've got them on my B2100 and they never harm the lawn even during the wet, Spring months.
The difference between the two tire types is very noticeable. You've made a good investment.
