What happened to the color on the discussion page. It is all black and white. Tried refreshing and still the same.

Oneace,
You are right, I worked on that page for hours because I thought it looked too busy :(, I may have gone too far though ;-), may have to sprinkle a bit more color in there I suppose :)

I've always liked this site because it was soo clean and was missing all the smiley faces and little putt-putt gestures. They really bug me!! Oh Well,I always tend to go with the flow! ....

I know what you mean, that is why I left them off for so many years. But now it seems they are everywhere and some moderte amount of them seems standard.
I also hoped, perhaps overly optimistic, that the little emoticons would help moderate the threads by showing visually the context of a comment.
Anyhow, I also I have set it up in your profile that you can turn the the little devils on or off globally at your preference. So you can have it your way at Tractorpoint.

I must be ignorant. What page are you guys talking about? As I posted this message in a popup window the new emoticon message was there but I haven't seen a page that looked black-and-white or colorless. I usually just go to the home page and then click new-as-posted and read messages there. ....

Ken the old home page used to look like the link below.
The new Tractorpoint summary page (click on "discussion" on the menu has fewer colors. When Onace looked at it I did not have the Blue headers on the page so it was very colorless.
I was just trying to make it more readable. What do you think?

Dennis, your decision to de-clutter the page looks good to me. I never did see it in it's black and white state though. ....
