Hi. I'm new to the board, just bought a home on a small 3 acre lot in NJ and decided on the JD 2210 over the NH TZ25 and others. I was close to closing a deal, JD 2210, FEL, 62"MMM ($13,905, best I could find in my area) before I heard that JD is discontinuing the 2210 and a replacement may soon be introduced (August, 2005). Has anyone heard of this, any rumors or info. on the replacement, and any advice as to purchasing the JD 2210 now or waiting for the new model. I would love to start a few projects with the JD and stop paying to have my lawn mowed, but don't want to make a 14K mistake. Thanks in advance.

Dave

I don't know about the replacement, but you wouldn't be making a $14k mistake. Maybe you could leverage a better deal because the new ones are coming out, and they will probably cost more anyway. Any tractor you buy will be discontinued sooner or later. ....

I don't own a 2210, but from what I've heard they have proven to be a good tractor and a quite popular model. I've also heard Deere is coming with a replacement for it. I always am a bit shy of buying a new model that replaces a proven machine, I'd go for the 2210. So far as pricing, I'm sure the new model will cost more Best of luck. Frank. ....

Hi, I live in Califon next to you. If you are buying at Havers, they are mostly a lawnmower Garden shop. I don't know what kind of Diesel service you can expect from them. Maybe you will be surprised and be happy, they just made me nervous when I was there a couple of times, also they stumbled over pricing and what needed to be on the tractor, of course overcharging, so they were pretty steep on price.

The Powerco Kubota Dealership in Clinton has changed their sales strategy from no negotiation to " what do I need to do to sell". I would try them on a BX or B if were you.

If you want to buy out of state, I bought at Histands Kubota in Doyleston, PA. They have got an excellent shop, long term experience on Diesels, and everything was in A 1 shape for delivery.

I found Deere dealers in this area to be sparse and very pricey. ....

I was planning to buy a 2210 also. Stopped by my dealer and asked him about a replacement for the 2210. He said he hadn't heard anything, so he called the JD rep. He discovered that the 2210 has in-fact been discontinued. The only ones availabe are the ones in the field. The rep couldn't give him any deatails on the new model other than to say that it probably won't be available until Sept or Oct. They are planning to introduce it at a big tractor show the end of October. ....

I did look at Havers, but got the best prices and customer service at Leigh Valley Ag, in Allentown, PA. They actually just took delivery of a 2210 last week, though I haven't asked them about the replacement. I tried to take Dennis' advice, but couldn't find the Kubota dealer in Clinton...I'll have to have another try next week. Though, I'm pretty well sold on the JD. ....

Powerco:

Take Route 78 west to exit 11 at the end of the ramp make a right turn onto route 173. They are about a mile back on the left in a large fenced in yard, you will see some really large stuff and the Kubotas out on the side. They sell Kubotas and all sizes of big excavating equipment, have a true diesel tractor parts counter and service deaprtment. Met Rent (Excavator Rentals) in Califon buys from them and gets service from them.

Another good Kubota dealer that actully does field service and repair in this area is Mid State Kubota, they are down on Route 29 near Washingtons Crossing. ....

Awesome! It looks like the old 2210 with the sloop front. Besides the 200x FEL, is there any other difference? I see the seat has extra width to handle those increasing love handles. ....

HP up to 24 (PTO 18), option to separate the 3PH from the MMM rockshaft control, cruise control, next generation diesel (more torque at more usable ranges and better efficiency) larger fuel capacity, and all at a more competitive price.

What's not to like?

Cheers

I too was looking to buy the 2210 when I heard about the replacement. I asked the local dealer and they agreed it was discontinued. In addition to the 2305, they said there are two other new ones coming out. Not sure if they replace existing models. The dealer is going to Florida in October (a convention?) to get all the details. ....

In the JD website, the 47" quick-tach snowblower now lists the 2320 and 2520. I gues it's safe to speculate that these are the replacements for the 4110 and 4115. ....

Dave and Dennis, I have fond memories of your area, I live in Pittsburgh now, but remember my grandfather getting a 50's vintage Simplicity serviced at Haver's. We lived in Oldwick, at the top of a hill, we owned dog kennels, which I think the current owners still have? Moved from Oldwick in 1969... ....

Agree, just looked at the spec sheet and it states USA, but the nameplate says otherwise. I'm totally unaware of where Deere may be claiming this machine is being assembled in the US. ....
