I drove by this house at 2:50 this afternoon. I looked out the window when I heard the snow plow coming down the street at 2:55PM. I saw the plow and an emergency vehicle light in the distance.
In only five minutes the entire attic was ablaze.
I knew fires were fast but I never realized just how fast and how the firemen have almost no hope if saving the house or the occupants most of the time.

This shot was taken 39 minutes after the fire started. The owner of the house returned around 3:00PM noticed smoke as he entered, got his dog and moved his car to safety and dialed 911.
Scary stuff. ....

No one home. My nearest neighbors for 14 years. If this happened two weeks ago a forest fire was probable and my home would have been another casualty. Today snow storm was a fortunate it regards to containment ....

My parents lost a house they built to fire before there was such as house insurance and never recovered the loss. It was about 7 or 8 years before I was born.
You need to have a picture inventory of your property stored off location. A video is best describing the item as you go. ....
