If you are not running AG tractors and making multiple oil changes per year...then you make the annual oil change no matter how few hours you put on your machine...Like Art White said...condensation in your oil is NOT good...:)

Your seat safety is probably the problem...also, make sure the plunger under the seat is making contact when you are seated

Does it bleed down while you are operating the tractor or only after you shut it off?

Check the oil level if the system pump is noisy. Fill as necessary. Replace the oil and the filter if the oil viscosity is not correct. Check to see if the reservoir air vent cap is plugged.

Check for air leaks in the air pump inlet line and fittings if there is low system-pump oil flow. Replace if necessary. Check to see if the relief valve is partially left open. Close the valve if open.

Check to see if the boom arms are binding at the pivots if the arms do rise and lower correctly. Lubricate the linkage if necessary. [b]See if the cylinder shafts are bent.[/b] Make sure that the boom and bucket are not overloaded. Check the inlet to see if there is low oil flow coming from the pump.

As to cost...it depends on exactly what the problem is...:(

Did you stick a flat blade in the gap and twist it?...it could just be sticky gasket material holding the two pieces together

If it doesn't start...here are some things to check...

Transmission range shift lever not in proper position.

PTO engaged.

Engine speed hand throttle not pushed forward.

Fuel shut-off valve CLOSED (OFF).

Stale fuel / improper fuel / fuel level.

Plugged fuel filter.

Plugged air intake filter.

Dirty or faulty fuel injectors.

Blown fuse.

Failed fuel solenoid.

Other electrical problem.

The following hydrostatic oils are preferred:

� John Deere HY-GARD.

� John Deere low viscosity HY-GARD (cold weather operation only).
