Thanks...

I think you are right. The hitch will go on just about anything. Then the pin spacing on the implement comes into play. ....

JD literature has been known to have errors, but they clearly show iMatch as being available on the 4010-4115 10 series tractors so it should work on a 4100 as well.

Unfortunately, not all Category-1 implements use the same dimensions. So many will fit the iMatch directly, others won't, and still others aren't hard to modify.

Since I use iMatch, compatibility is something I look for when I shop for implements. If you're shopping you can talk to the manufacturers and sometimes they will make custom changes to their implements for a small fee. For example, Rankin charged me an extra $30 to manufacturer a special iMatch compatible set of 3ph pallet forks. Well worth it to me.

If you already have implements you'll have to measure to make sure things fit. Here's a tip - the special iMatch bushings JD sells are around $12 each. You don't need them. You can "build" your own bushings by buying the cheaper Cat1-Cat2 and Cat2-Cat3 bushings and putting them inside each other. Those bushings are less than $1 each so I keep handfuls of each on hand. ....

Many implements do NOT work with the various quick hitches, including i-Match. If you have all NEW JD implements they all should work, except for a Post Hole Digger. PHD's only work with the Pat's Easy Change system, Pat's Easy Change is also the only one that works with different pin widths. ....

I got the iMatch with my new 4110 and I love the gismo. Being new to tractors I didn't want to fight the hitch. A funny story...
My tractor was delivered with they rotary cutter attached and I wanted to start of by using the box scrapper first...
So I sat in my seat turned around lifted the 2 imatch handles and then lowered the hitch. Well, that was pretty easy...only thing left was now drive up to the box scrapper, so slowly stepped on the gas and pulled away...
Oh my gosh, I left the PTO attached and broke it...man I can't believe I already broke the implement before even using it... and what's with the darn thing breaking so easily...I thought tractors were tough...so got off and took a closer look and realized the shaft is telescoping and I just simply pulled it apart. What a relief :o)
