I have a slight problem with my tractor. Does anyone have any suggestions? Seems like I can get about 1-1.5 hours of bush hogging then I start to loose RMPs. The tractor starts great, does not appear to be leaking any oil or fuel. Any comments are appreciated. The oil , fuel and filters were changed last fall. I do not use the tractor that much (10 acre field)

Is there any relationship between the loss of RPMs and the level of fuel in the tank? If there's debris in the tank maybe it gets shook up some and plugs the fuel pick-up. Just a guess. ....

Inspect the fuel tank cap for obstructions to the air vent and be sure the check ball inside the fuel tank cap moves around freely. Kinda sounds like the fuel cap is not allowing air into the tank to equalize pressure as fuel is being used and creating a vaccum. This could cause the symptoms you are having. ....

I would check the flow of fuel from the tank. If you remove the hose from the filter base, hold it in a bucket and make sure you get a nice full flow of fuel from the hose. You might have some debris floating around in the tank that closes fuel flow after driving around awhile. If the flow looks good now, check it again immediately after it loses power. ....
