I have been on several other forums and this seems like a nice laid back place to be. Does everyone get along here as well as I sense ??
I also like the looks of the graphics etc, done very nice.
Just my opinion.

This is a good group. Like any place where more than two people get together there will be disagreements, but that is to be expected. You can get good answers for your questions here. There are extensive archives that address a number of routine questions. ....

I've spent time on other forums too and find TractorPoint to be the best one around. This group is mostly self-censoring and there aren't too many flame wars. Things flare up from time to time but generally they calm down again as folks cool off - sort of like real life. I like it here a lot. ....

Yes, it is one of the best. Plus, almost everybody uses complete sentences and punctuates. I get tired of all the web slang.

Good to hear and I think so too.
I did have a further thought about the diff lock. When you've got to use them you sure don't want to stop or slow down to engage them since that sort of defeats the purpose of having more traction. I'm guessing that frequent use in heavy draft situations like log skidding may exceed the design parameters. Not that they shouldn't be expected to last longer but that it's a compromise that would be adequate for most owners long term use. It might make them last longer if draft could be reduced before engaging it. ....

We're one big, usually happy, highly opinionated, inteligent, generally tolerant, geographically challenged, extended Cyber-family.
Did I mention handsome ?
Seriously, I think for the most part this forum works VERY well and (hopefully) provides a very good arena for the disemination of useful and thought-provoking information.
Some of it is even about tractors ..... LOL
BTW, where did the part about the diff. lock come in, did I mis a prior thread or something?
Best of luck. ....

I was discussing my problem on the John Deere "owning / buying " thread and then I started this thread and TomG offered some further insight about the diff lock on this thread. :) ....

Yep, disruptive and obscure. I can be that way but now I'll be better behaved by going back to the original thread to make what is probably an obvious comment. I can dwell excessively on the obvious too but overall I'm handsome and debonair just like everybody else here. ....
