Does anybody know of a pulley kit to increase blade speed my mower leaves alot of excess grass and some standing weed stems.I used a friends scag front mower and it gives a much better cut. Any help woud be great!!

I would suggest checking the blades. My Kubota came from the factory with a rounded cutting edge, but even at that did not leave stems sticking up, just tore the grass. Are you running the mower at the proper RPM? Did you install the blades? I had a neighbor years ago that received his new rider from a big box store with the blades attached upside down. Just a thought. ....

Thought I read a post somewhere about installing the belts correctly on BX mowers. Something about putting an "X" in the belt or the blades turn backward? ....

Apparently they don't use a serpentine belt like the B series Mark? That is a thought, he should check the owners manual for the deck belt configuration. ....

My bx1500 uses a banded belt and I do not think it could be put on wrong. There is no twist in it. It has to be routed much like a car with serpentine but is less complicated. ....

There is not much of a chance of running the belt wrong. Dull blades low engine speed and to high grond speed can cause your problem. ....

I have the 60" deck on my BX22 I just got done mowing my field(no lawn here)and you MUST have the rpm's all the way up. I mowed in high gear knowing that some weeds might be left behind and was quite suprised at how well it cut. As mentioned above, check the blades,cut at maximum rpm, and slow down.
