I have been offered a chance to buy a 2005 or 2006(not sure of the year) bx 23 from a relative. It will come with a front loader and 60" mower deck. He also has a frame mount backhoe that he wants me to pay half the price for so we would both have ownership of it. What would be a fair price for both sides of this deal? Tractor doesnt have 100 hours on it yet.Thanks!

Genis, I have a BX23 utility tractor with FEL, BH, 60" finish mower, Box Blade, Tiller and Box Scraper. To answer your question, if you want half ownership I wouldn't pay more than $8500.00 I paid around $18,000 for mine with all the listed implements. ....

Do you have a way to transport the machine? Roading the machine back and forth any distance is not good to say nothing about the hassle factor. Do either of you have dry storage for it or will it always be at the place that does? Do you have equal ability to pay for maintenance and upkeep? Will others in either family use or abuse it?
Joint ownership is great if both sides know the potential drawbacks and can easily mitigate potential problems....because they will come up!

3*The BH is standard equipment on the BX23/Why are you being asked to pay for it again???????

I paid 15500 for my BX23 new.
The 15500 included FEL 60'' MMM and the Back Hoe.
I was not asked to pay half the cost of the BH on top of the 15500.
Something don't look rite with the deal you've been offered.

A major part of the BX-23 package is the backhoe, it's not an extra. :-)

i resently sent away to our local kubota dealer for a price quote for the Kubota Bx 24 or bx 2350. the Bx 2350 has a little bit more horsepower than the 23 but it is relitivly the same as the 23. they sent me back an email for the prices and the prices for the 2350 was $9100 base, the FEL is $2565, the MMM or MMD is $1685, and the backhoe is $5020, so combined the tractor costes arround $18370. so the price of the BX 23 is probably a little bit less than that ( probably 1000 dollars less). we'll say its $17370 so divide that by 2 since it will be co-owner ship you should pay aroound $9185. Since it is a 05 or 06 and has less than 100 hours on it, i wouldn't pay any more than $8800 dollars for it. hope this is helpful :) ....
