This is my first post to the board although I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks. I finally went to my local JD dealership (J. R. Rosencrantz, Derry, NH) and was quoted $21900 for a new last year's 4310 eHydro with 430 loader and loaded r4 tires. This is the one with the Yanmar engine. Any feelings for this price? It's a lot of money but I loved the tractor. What is a comparable Kubota to look at? Also, is there a problem with the Yanmar engine that made them switch to Deere? Any help would be appreciated as I don't think that tractor will be around long. Thanks!

The government made new rules for emmisions from agriculture and other equipment. Basically fewer emmisions from the diesel engines. If you look at the new 3020 series tractors on Deere's website, you'll see them listed as Tier II. MEaning they meet the new regulations.

These new 3020 series tractors designed to replace the 4010 series do have Yanmar engines. So they haven't gone away from Yanmar. The new Tier II engines make a nice time to update the entire tractor line.

I've got a 4310 and I love this tractor. Don't get me wrong, I'd love more power (duh) but it's done everything and more that I have asked from it. I love the MFWD. No more spinning tires in snow or getting stuck. Not saying you couldn't get stuck because you can, it's just less likely.

I think I may have paid a touch less for mine. Depends on what features the tractor has. ....

Yanmar makes a good engine so I wouldn't worry about that.
The price sounds high to me, but then again JD prices always sound high to me !!
A comparable Kubota would probably be an L-3130 or L-3430.
They are very nice machines also. ....

I have last years JD 4310 and love it. Have about 40 hours on it with absolutely no problems. The Yanmar starts immediately every time. I was sold the 420 loader and I didn't get the ehydro model, but I also got a 5' bush hog (not a JD), and my total price was about three grand less than what you were quoted. Maybe you should shop around. I got about twelve hundred knocked off the first quote after I looked at the comparable orange tractor and reported back to the JD man the deal I was quoted. Don't underestimate a good feeling for the dealership, however. May be worth a little more in up front money to have a good local dealer backing you. Good luck. ....

That price sounds about right, the 430 loader is more expensive than the 420, and the eHydro is around $1000 more, not to mention the increased steel prices that have been driving prices up by almost 4% latley. Also, I believe that there is 0% interest for 2yrs on that machine. ....

I priced a new 4410 HST last summer with a 72" mmm and turfs for just over $20,000. (I agree that your price is a little too high.) I ended up buying a used 2003 model with 87 hours at a dealer auction (same dealer) for $15,200. I have been very happy so far. I just ordered a 300cx loader with HD 73" bucket today for $3,500. (The HD bucket was $268 higher than the standard duty bucket.) IMO, if your going to spend that much, get the new series...resale will be better and maintanence work is easier with the hood that lifts the side panels...plus they look great! ....

I recently purchased a new JD 4310 with ehydro, 4wd, cruise, wet brakes, 3 hours, R4 Tires, dual control values and etc, and paid $14300. Add another $3500 to $4000 for the loader and you should be around $18,000 PLUS TAXES. I wouldn't given them a penny more than $19,000.00.

Yes, it's a good tractor and the Yanmar Engines are rock solid. Don't ever let anyone tell you different! You won't be sorry, ....

Just got one - I'd target around 1718k with the 430 loader - had 43 hours on it and they included the 50 hour service.

LAXCummins ....

Maybe you need to come to Texas! I just bought a 4310 hydrostat with 430 loader, lx5 shredder, frontier 5' box blade and a 16' trailer for 21,400 from Bramlett Implements (http://www.bramlettimplement.com). It will be delivered tomorrow. ....

I also got just about the same set-up. JD4310 4wd, 300cx loader (new version of the 430), ehydro, block heater, 3rd valve, power beyond kit etc. all for around $18K plus taxes. I did also get a 48 back hoe, box blade, and snowblower which was not included in the price I just mentioned. Those additional items might have helped reduce the cost of the tractor/loader. I would go back at your dealer. Sounds high to me. ....

I own a 4310 hyd 4 wheel drive and i have a 60" mid mower with 430 loader. Looking to trade for a 3320 mine has 390 hours but looks about 95% new.I just got a price today for the 3320 with 60" mid mower and 300cx loader for 23,800 with turff tires rear hyd outlets. Dealer wants my tractor loader and mower and wants 10,800 to trade...that is giving me 13,000 for mine.I think my loader will work on the 3320 tractor but dealer says it will not. I have seen the new loader on a 790.Any thoughts on this please get back with me.

Sounds like you received a great price for the tractor. Where's your dealer, do they have anymore? ....
