I have a fairly old 5ft fred cain mower that is in desperate need of new blades. I have seached for days but still have no luck in finding them. Does anyone have any advice?

Most blades are remarkably similar, regardless of the manufacturer.
The only real variables are; the diameter of hole it mounts by, the length of the blade, and the shape of the blade.
Chances are if you go to any large farm equipment dealer they will have a set of blades to fit.
On the other hand, if the blades are not too badly damaged, just dull, they can be easily sharpened with a 4" angle grinder. Just be sure to get them reasonably well balanced. A short piece of wood with a nail in the center and one at each end is all that is necessary to do it.

Fred Cain Co. told me that any local dealer would have
blades, just bring them in to match.
I did and my local Kubota dealer did.
Model AC-105 purchased in 10/02/99
Blade measures: 24 3/4" long; 3" width; 1/2" theck with
uplift.
It fits a 1 1/2" bolt and I ueed a 1 11/16" drive socket
to tighten the nut.
