Can anyone tell me if the cab size varies between 3540 versus 3940 and 4240? I had driven a 3540 and I wasn't very comfortable with it but the dealer didn't have a bigger tractor with a cab. Based on the specifications in the brochure they are the same size. However, a Kubota factory rep told me the 3940 and 4240 had bigger cabs.

Retcol,

I believe the cab on the 40 series is five inches wider than the 30 series tractors.

This information came from the Kubota web site, but for some reason I'm having a difficult time finding it this morning.

While I don't have any exact measurements of the cabs, 'Bota doesn't publish them that I've found, I think the factory rep. was correct.

I make this statement based on the fact that the cab fits each machine much the same way, and the 3540 is about 7" narrower than the 3940 & 4240 are.

It would then necessarily follow that the cabs on the two bigger machines should also be about 6" or 7" wider.

I'm 6' tall and about 235 pounds and I have lots of room in my L4310 cab.

Best of luck. ....

For parts commonality they all are the same size in the grand L-group. Although some cabs have different configurations to just talk size for a few extra sq inches it might just mean more aggrivation later. ....
