Just broke the belt on my 72mmm for the 3520. Any idea on how much these run? I will be calling the JD dealership in a few days.

Can't help with the price but how many hours did you have on it? Maybe the warranty will cover it. If it had an unusually short life maybe something is misaligned or tensioned incorrectly. ....

If you can match the belt to an off shelf you will save money.

Example the Landpride uses a Landpride part # belt for about $40. The belt is 158" and can be had for $20 most other places. ....

I have bought the few-dollars-cheaper belts but it turns out they weren't made for this type of use since they had a green or gray fabric covering and were more robust and flexible (I think they're called "power equipment belts". Typically the local autoparts don't carry the right ones. ....

As to the parts stores on belts I agree with earthwrks. There are often companies that make aftermarket belts for such but they normally will give the machine number on their packaging or at least the ones I have seen do. Sometimes an industrial equipment company will carry a better or heavier line of belts. ....
