I am looking for other sites to get an idea as to what type of canopy for a 4210 John Deere. I know of the Curtis brand.
I don't know if I want a fiberglass or canvas type or just the umbrella type. Any suggestions or thoughts from your past experiences is appreciated.

I had a canvas umbrella for the 4310, then got a hard canopy from Deere. it doesn't take much of a tree limb to destroy an umbrella. The fiberglass takes a bit more abuse without damage. Frank. ....

I was just down this road. I decided on a fiberglas and Kevlar-like product from Firebird Fiberglass out of Phoenix. AZ. It was pricey for what it is, and you most likely have to order through a dealer just like I did (seems like it was about $575 inc. shipping). I had some real issues with the very poor quality on the first one they sent me (I made the mistake of saying that I'm probably going to whack it on a tree so they gave me a head start so I wouldn't feel so bad ruining an already damaged one LOL). It was badly damaged in shipping too. They were really good about making good and sent a perfect one out in a few days. And I'm very pleased with this one---its purrrty!. ....

Mike,

It depends on you likes, your pocket book, and what your tractor will be around.

Do you have a clearance issue, such as tree limbs or shed, if so get one that folds. The metal ones don't crack or break as easy as most others but they will bend and may not look at good. If you have lights on your roll bar be sure your cover does not block them or can be relocated. Of course if you have a folding roll bar that is normally an lost option with any canopy.

I have had good success with fiberglass tops. Even with the small tree limbs, just take it slow. ....

This is what I got for my 4410. Cost me $90 from my Deere dealer. Granted, it does not stand a chance against low hanging limbs or other things that can snag it but it does a great job at keeping the sun off. I ordered the TY25324 that mounts directly to the ROPS. ....

Years ago we used to have a local fellow who made boat tops make us up tops for the tractors.

They were simply 2 small aluminum arches with white fabric covering. One smaller arch went out to the rear, the other larger one went forward and there was a single over-center type folding brace that forced the two apart. They were mounted around the ROPS structure with stainless steel hose clamps.

They were extremely durable and went from collapsed to extended in just a few seconds. We were getting a few at a time, but I seem to recall the last ones were about $200 a piece.

Best of luck.
