I currently have: 2004 JD 2210 w/ FEL and R4 tires. Only 40 hrs on the clock.

I'm interested in a Compact Tractor that can handle a small backhoe attachment. Just needs something to use for around the yard.. digging up stumps, etc..

The local JD dealer that I've been buying from, has this offer and I'm seeking opinions on whether or not it's a reasonable deal.

He'll give me $12K trade in (basically what I paid for the 2210) on a 2005 4110 w/ JD FEL -and- JD backhoe attachment. The 4110 w/ attachments was quoted at $24K... leaving me with a $12K balance after trade.

Your thoughts?

There are many more folks here better than me to be posting, but money aside I can speak about the 4110. I have a 4110 and am looking to go up to a 3320, there might not be enough diffrence between the two to make it work your while. Check the pricing on the 20 model. ex. 3320

I find the 4110 not heavy enough for some things I want to do. More beef is alway good. But it does come at a price.

hope this helps. ....

Might also want to wait a few months a check out new 2320 which is replacing 4110 model. New 2520(slightly larger than 4110)is out now. ....

That 4110 with backhoe seems priced high to me at $24K. You are getting a great trade in value for a high price on the 4110. I paid the same amount for a 4310 with backhoe a few years ago. But then again I may be out-of-date with current prices. ....

The 4110 is priced a bit high..... but you are getting a great trade value on your 2210. Sounds like it will all come out in the wash to me. ....

That price is real high, Im guessing about 6k too high from my last quote TLB....You might want to look at a Woods backhoe (Bh6000 I think) it will fit on the 2210 and it is a sub frame mount...otherwise look at some used machine because you will lose too much in a trade in based on those figures

Duc ....

I think you guys are right (again).. I've looked around a bit "on line" and $24K for a 4110 w/ FEL and hoe is rediculous. I've bought two units from this dealer and apparently that will be it. I've also rechecked the specs and apparently the 2210 has a few more HP than the 4110.

I was down in the garage (pole barn) the other night just looking over the 2210 and have decided it's the right one for me. If I need the occasional backhoe, I'll rent one for a weekend. The only thing I now want for the 2210 is a power angle snow plow. My trusty dealer wants $1200, including 6% tax here in WV, for the plow. Needless to say, I'm shopping around for that, too.

I went the the Deere web site and "built" a 4110, 200CX loader, 46 Backhoe, R-4's and a ballast box (it wouldn't quote a price without the ballast box).

The FULL LIST PRICE came to $24,669

The full list for the 54 inch front blade and all the hardware for a 2210 is $1,164

Any reasonable dealer will take at least 10 percent off list as a starting point. ....
