I'm trying to place a value on a 1985 John Deere 1650 4WD tractor. This model is ~60HP, made for John Deere in Japan by Yanmar I think. 3000 hours, in good running shape.

There are two listed on machinefinder dot com. One is $19.k with 3600 hrs the other is $15k with 2600 hours. These are dealer asking prices. ....

If you are buying from an owner; you can figure on 10% to 25% less depending upon condition and hours. 3,000 hours is not bad and still has a lot of life left if well cared for. Dealer prices in some cases can really run up the price of used equipment. Makes for a BIG difference between trade in value paid vs. dealer lot asking price. ....
