Congrats on staying in the buisness so long and thank you for feeding the world too (lord knows without you farmers in America half the world would be starving)
On the same tone that you were on, since 2000 we have recieved roughly 8 cost of living raises totalling around
.80, an hour now divert .04 from each one (which is diverted for insurance cost) which = .32 subtracted from the original .80= .48 an hour increase since the end of 2000. 20 bucks more a week. I work for CNH and they keep telling us our wages are one reason we are not as competitive as we should be. HUH! Lets go back to the year 2000 and I will take my old wage and pay what everything used to cost. For some reason (insurance) and everything else seams to add up to way more than my .48 an hour increase in the last 4 years.
I know you farmers have gone thru the mill also especially on dairy farms, dont know how you all cope with seeing what they charge for a food anmd what you actually get paid for the ingredients! Like I said before; thank you for feeding us!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with Brokenarrow. All three will do the job you want, in actuality there are many more then three and you may want to consider the gray market ( Yanmar, Kioti etc etc ) You know the HP range you want. I assume for a particular reason, so that being the case, I would really look at which tractor in that HP is the most comfortable and easy of use ( Location of FEL controls and levers, Are you going to do allot of brush hog/rear attachment work? If so, does the seat swivel?
It will really come down to two things. Your comfort in the seat being number one and numbertwo, once the brand is determined, which dealer is the best, most helpful, HONEST. I make a point here as many dealers will seem courteous and tell you what you want to hear, but is it what you really need or just a sale for them. ask for references, or talk to folks that have or are going to that dealer.

Originally I was leaning towards jd 2210, but now shifted to the 7610 for loader and 3ph capacities, although 60% of tractors used will be for lawn mowing. I am looking at 7610with 353 fel and 60"mmm . Is the mowere suspended ? how does it mow? Comment on loader capabilities? How is this machine as a mower unit? Is the loader heavy duty, some friends say that its too light duty and that I am likley to bend it up trying to do stuff like pull up old fence posts and move small rocks...

I need a pump drive shaft for a 155D. The part number. per the Yanmar parts book, is 124060-26401. I am changing the pump on the 155D to a pump that is readily available. The tang does not need to be in good repair. If anyone has an extra I would greatly appreciate it. Please contact me at 707-538-0811.<br>

Does anyone have any experience on how well the differen t mowers cut? The 2210 has a suspended mower, but the 7510 has a drag on the ground mmm. I wonder how well they compare in mow quality.?

Are you able to just put the scarifers down and NOT have the box collect material? kinda just ripping the top soil up and breaking thru the top crust/compacted soil?

Oh! By the way, All of you talkin about this Rotella made me go out and buy some along with having my son change the oil on both my truck and my wifes van. Luck would have it that when he finished the van (First time he ever done an oil change)he said, "WoW that is easy, you mean we just saved 20 bucks by doing that our selves?" "Yep" I told him that is why we do our own. After starting up the van, her serpentene belt came off. So he learned how to do that too! Now we go to do my tryck and what do I do, I look at my belt, LOL. It needs to be changes too, you know where I am heading right now. Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Both the 4300 and 4310 are good machines. I prefer the newer 4000 Ten Series but either will give you great performance. As stated above; my reply to the issue of the FEL for your 4200 is a purely hypothetical response and in my opinion would be a bad course of action and waste of money. If you want more capability; upgrade to a 4300/4310 or you can probably find a 4400 in good condition if you want the extra bit of hp & torque.

I suggest you carefully consider the task you anticipate and match the trator against it and leave some fudge factor with respect to capabilities and capacities. In other words, it the 4200 cannot meet your needs; will a 4300? Do you need to go larger or keep what you have and hire or rent a machine to do a few tasks. Just a few ideas to throw out on the table to consider.

I have a model 1862 Cub Cadet with a 44" mowing deck, 45" snow thrower, wheel weights,chains, and an all steel metal inclosure. All in good condition. I am not sure on the Year of the tractor. I would like to sell all of it but do not know what it is worth. can you help me out?<br>

I haven't heard about the new 20 series. I do know JD has already made a 4320,4520 and a 4620. Maybe they'll call them the 15 series?

Kully Not sure where in NY you are located. There is a Dealer of lots of old stuff in Newark Valley, Goodrich Equipment.

Many times a large ag dealer will know where something might be sitting in a hedge row also.

I do all of my pine trees by backing under. I have a old sickle bar mower that works also. I use that for the road banks and ditches. But the majority of trimming under low stuff is with mower by backing.<br>

Let me add: Generally I try and keep the deck adjusted level and hold some of the weight up on the tractor. This seems to help the 4 tires pivot easier with less twisting of the tire.

Botics,

I have been researching both the 4630 and the 5030 for about a month and have decided on the 5030. Presently own a JD 950 and have had too many problems with things that were just poorley thought out. Most of the ranchers and neighbors around me are now using the Kubotas and I am finally a believer. The local dealership is asking $1,500 more for the 5030 than the 4630 so it seems like a small investment for a piece of equipment I plan to own for a very long time.

The price is good...but it's alot of tractor for 1-1 1/2 acres....might look at something smaller with a tough carrage if you don't need the size of the big one. (2000 series is a good line)

Without speculating too much, it more than likely was some sort of HEAVY truck maybe? It was hit pretty high and (low) Funny think is that the box was not sprung and most damage was cosmetic. Now I have never been the one for the finer things in life, but this was my first new truck *&^*&%$.
On anouther side note, anyone know if my insurance will be increased? *&%&&&^$& LOL.
When I bought the truck my insurance agent told me that the reason the premium went up so much is because of the level or number givin to the value of the vehical. Funny my premiums have not gone down in the last 3 years for the depreciated value of the older truck? Hmmmm Something dont sound right? Think it may be time to shop a bit for Ins. again this time with an older truck. The one good thing is that I was considering taking full coverage off it next year, after seeing how spendy it is to fix, I think I will re-think that
