Thanks to every one for all the suggestions. I finally got a jack and stands, jacked it up and it came out. I depressed it again to check and it went back in. Spun the wheels a little and backwards it came out as it is suppose to. Again thanks to every one.

Right, it wouldn't be hard. But for normal floating you'd need to dump the bucket a bit (to raise the ends of the arms off the ground). With no pressure it would be more curled, so the arms would leave ruts or at least marks.

Also, the idea is that I'd pull it fast enough to spin the motor to spin the pump to raise the bucket. I've never towed it, but I'm not sure that would work with a powershift transmission.

I have a L2900GST that will go forward but cannot pull the column lever to reverse. Followed linkage to top of transmission no obstructions. Anyone have this problem?

i found a parts manual at southern global and ordered anyway.
I also have someone with some experience looking at it for me, some things just take experience instead of books. most of the time, it is better to have both.

Hello All;

Thanks again for the great information. The fitting was a metric hex(12 Mm) It was 1.72 @ the Kubota dealer here in CT.
One out and new one in and regreased.

Ronald; I had a 4010 with the same weird system, but I don't have a schematic anymore. My experience with replacing one battery in a two battery system has never been too good, seemed like the other old one just took the new one down to nothing. There are a ton of other things that can be wrong, but putting both batteries in new might be the solution. Frank.

Lots of vinyl siding in my part of the world and lots of mildew with hot humid summers and wet winters. Pressure washers used a lot with regular household bleach with the wash setting or nozzles, not the high pressure settings. But there is a product that is better than that, Jomax. Must use it right by direction and that means mixing it 100% per direction if you don't the bleach will kill it. Spray it on with any sprayer such and then rinse it off. Works very good and mildew does not come back as quick either. You still use bleach but not as much.

I have used it a few times and it gets great marks from me and my wife and she is the inspector. Now, stained rubber molding, don't know of anything that cleans the stain from that.

Be sure the sprayer you use is bleach safe. kt

Could an owner of one of these here tell me which wires go where on the starter? previous owner removed the bad starter, and left them hanging. One large battery wire-red.
One wire with clip connecter (this one is obviously for the tang on the starter)
Two red wires coming from switch...both have round eyelet ends for the posts.....

Any thoughts appreciated.

I just aquired an amt 600.I wish I could help you.
But mines not running either:( ....however,
Could you do me a favor, and look at the starter, and
tell me what wires are going to it? The previous owner had removed it, and the wires are hanging (the heavy battery-red with a mounting block on it) one prong wire for the obvious prong on the starter.....and two red wires coming from the starter switch (they have eyelets for the starter posts)... I just don't know which post these things go on! I'm about to order a new starter, but need this Info.

I have a Nor-Trac NT 304 I have not been able to find the Transmission fluid that is in the manual. API Service: CF/SL -30W. Someone told me (store clerk) that it was motor oil is that correct. I will appreciate any info you can give me on this.<br>

Update: My dealer says there is no known problem with the gear shift design and has put two pins in the mail to me. Hope this solves the problem. Other than this problem, I love the tractor and it has exceeded the expectations that I bought it for!

Naw, you're just fine right here. Working on Chinese tractors is old school - including lubrication. So you're best stickin' here - with the folks that actually own/operate/maintain them.

The XUV has four wheel independent suspension. Only thing I don't like is the box is a few inches higher to lift things into than the conventional series. Guess it could be done to convert one to independent, but likely would cost as much as to just trade for one. Frank.

There's a new device on the market (forgot where I saw it, though), a stand for holding the auger when off. Makes on/off/storage easier. Or you could fabricate one.
