Art told you the how part. Also some what new to diesel I was ready to change frequently. Kubota dealer mechanic told me to not change it until it tells you to. He said you will know by the way it starts running (not good). I used to change my car oil at 3000 miles but now stretch some to 4500 to 5000 even though manual says 7500. Guess my answer is the when part. Sure you'll receive some better answers as to the when part. Maybe some will even tell you why to change it more often. Just relaying what an experienced Kubota mechanic told me.

45 hrs on my B7800. Dealer gave me front forks with my trade in of BX2200 to B7800. Got bucket off and forks on OK, lot harder getting bucket back on. Should get better with experience. Was going to give the forks away but was building a house and decided to keep them to move stacks of wood. Forks are great for this and absolutly fantastic for moving rocks. Only way to move big rocks. Used to push them all over the place with bucket because they were to big for bucket but forks slide right under them and place them exactly where you want them. Recommending forks for wood and rock moving. Another side item between BX2200 and B7800. Digging with front bucket. Not good with BX2200 because of less traction/weight but alot better with B7800. BX2200 lower center of gravity per some earlier advisors but B7800 seems much more stable to me on hill sides. BX2200 also had 60"mmm but B7800 has 6" RFM. I like the RFM better and with a little practise can get really close with it. Just have to be careful where front starts and back ends with front bucket attached and rfm.

I'm not a fan of welding to the bucket itself. Unless you know the type of steel used, it isn't possible to have a proper weld procedure. I drilled two 11/16" holes through the cutting edge to bolt the load bar to. The forks slide along the load bar for adjusting the width. Depending on where your tooth bar bolts, you may be able to use them. The buchet is obviously strongest at thye coners where the opposing plates offer stiffening, but the sides of the bucket are too thin for any bolt bearing capacity. I chose to bolt through the cutting edge based on it's thickness and proximity to a stiffened edge.

Right now we are getting 4x6 from the neighbor, but smaller
would be fine. Are soil is very sandy and I am not sure of
the model its rather big and has a huge loader on the front,
nothing it won't pick up, just hard to start when its 10 or below.
She will be for sale if we get new most likely.

If you don't like the female and male ends where they are, switch them. I agree, my last tractor was set up with the females on the tractor and the males on the implement. Not sure there is any rationalization for having it one way or another. My neighbot set his rears up half/half. One side of the circuit is male on the tractor, the other side is female. I believe from the standpoint of fluid flow, the half/half set-up would be the easiest to justify.

There are two fuel filters on the bx2200. Sounds like you have a lot of hours on yours if the radiator was plugged up. Don't like hearing the guage was near the red - this could be a problem of it overheating and doing some engine damage. I'd replace both fuel filters. They are the exact same filter. They are actually small junk little lawn mower filters and should be changed often with the lousey fuel that's out there these days. Mine ran like heck and a changed mine and it straightened it right out. I change mine every 100 hours.

The 5 SCOTUS judges who voted to violate our 4th & 5th amendment rights are no better and maybe even worse than the terrorists we are supposedly at war with. They employ the same methods and actions. If you doubt my statement; try disregarding or violating a court order such as this or use "effective means" to protect your property and watch how fast the "JBT's" show up to take your property at gun point. In my opinion there is ONE judge on the Supreme Court who understands the Constitution of the United States and the would be judge Scalia. Clarance Thomas I view as a moderate liberal socialist; the rest are left wing radical extremists.

Very sorry it's been so long for my reply... if I recall the price I got from local dealer (in Maine) was around $5,000. It definately looks like a good rig, although I have yet to see one in person to REALLY check her out (also never seen a 46 JD hoe either)....just judging from the brochures.

Thanks guys! That's just what we did. Pulled the pin and set the control to a high setting and the wheels locked up in the gravel. By the way the battery was dead too and it was the truck's power that locked the wheels. We replaced the battery now and all is well.

*Usually they are the ones who didn't completely analyze or evaluate their situation and properly match tractor and property requirements. Seldom is it due to short comings of the BX23 and the other the sub compacts.

People have also moved from a larger tractor to a sub compact for the same reason.
