When you start a new thread, or reply to an existing thread, or edit a post you already made you need to make sure the drop-down Notify box says "Do Not Notify Me". Unfortunately there is not a global way to turn off those messages. To turn off email messages to a thread I've posted in I go through the thread and edit each post I've made to turn off notification. There may be an easier way but I haven't found it. ....

When you reply there is a box at the top of the green area called "Notify:", make sure that the phrase in the window to the right is "Do Not Notify Me", if it is not click on the arrow and select it.

As my grandfather taught me... "A question is never dumb as long as you learn something from the answer.".

Best of luck. ....

I can decide if I want to delete the messages and go to CTB to real all the new posts or go to the ones that I have been interested in. ....

First, Welcome!

Second, I live by the motto " The only stupid question is the one not asked " ( Look at some of my early posts and that will be pretty obvious. But, You never know what the answer might be. And you can get alot of great answers here. ....
