Im tring to find out what this tractor is worth . it is a 1993 john deere 870 4x4 with gear trans. 72"belly mower no extras,original owner,50 hours on meter! tractor looks like it was just picked up at dealer! bottom of mower deck even looks very good with only light grass film. owner is asking $12000.00 good deal?

Low hours, but still 10 years old. I'm thinking that is a high price. I could also be thinking of the wrong size tractor.... what size engine does an 870 have? ....

Between $8,500 & $9,500 would be a fair price range. I would be suspicious as to why so few hours and why being sold? Did the owner die or have health problem preventing use. In that case, it makes sense. Sounds like a nice tractor but not at that price. ....

the tractor belongs to a friend,who bought new. tractor is in storage garage, sold house and moved into townhouse 5/6 years ago has been started every couple of months. no leaks! tractor is 27hp diesel 3cyl w/turf tires. ....

I looked at an 870 a couple of months ago before buying my 4210. Had 320 hrs, FEL and canopy only and seller was asking $12,500. I offered $10,500 but she didn't accept so I bought the 4210 with FEL and 5' box scraper at $13,900 out the door, delivered. Being this only has a belly mower, I'd say $9500 would be my maximum offer. ....

We did have an 870H,loader 72" belly and cab and 300 hours. We finally sent it to a big compact auction and it brought 8500, we were asking 10,500. We sent about two tractor trailer loads and several straight trucks to the auction with equipment. Found we were asking to much on that one and a few more and to little on others. ....
