I realize that Emerich is a (p) member. But does anybody else besides me hate when advertising clutters up a self-help forum? Or do I have the wrong impression of what the "discussion" section of this website is for?

I felt that it was very Important Information for people that were looking to buy a New Tractor!! It was Not advertising for Emerich's. It's information to anyone that is looking at New Tractors.
On Other forums I get the Opposite Reaction??

Please let me know if this is good or bad for this forum?? Please let me know if these things should be posted or kept to myself?

Thanks

Kevin;
I fully agree with Greg. It matrers not whether you sell orange, green, blue, or some Chineese tractor, this isn't the place to advertise.
Other boards may do as they please, but that's their business. Frank. ....

IMHO that is nothing more than 'public service announcement' to merely say the program is back on.

It's the "Call me at 1-800-BUY-MINE I'll sell you one for $199.99" replies to someone asking "What do I use for.........?" replies that come across decidedly spam-ish to me.

I have noticed however certain differences between this forum and some others, namely that you can freely offer your opinion here. ;)

Best of luck. ....

Well, given that the item was posted in the Kubota Price category - my initial criticism may have been misplaced. I typically only participate in those categories that deal more with offering or obtaining repair advice. Had I noticed the topic category, I may have refrained.

But to claim that this is not advertising:
"Starting Monday March 1st 2010
Kubota 0% for 60 Months is Back!!!
OR
0% for 72 Months with 3% Dealer Participation Fee
Emerich Sales & Service inc.
"
is one helluva stretch.

No problem understanding each comment but I appreciate it.
Nice to know what is going on. It seems if a dealership is going to give free information on service issues they deserve some consideration. It would please me if there were more here. My nickel I realize.

So remember Art also.

My reaction may have been wrong, but just my take on things. I'm not in charge here, so likely I shouldn't be the one to judge on sutch matters.

KT;
Yes I didn't forgrt Art, but if my memory serves me correctly Art has never offered that type information unless he was asked for it.

As I said previously, I don't see it as being a problem personally, it wasn't offering anything for sale as sometimes (but not by Kevin) does happen with certain other dealers.

It should also be remembered that unlike some other dealers that show up here to offer their "I've got one for X dollars, call me at......" Kevin has paid for a banner ad on this site, i.e. he helps keep it going.

I think the least we should do is allow a "public service announcement" every now & then.

I doubt the nationwide offer is going to lure sales away from one dealer and over to another, the playing field seems pretty level here.

My $0.02 worth........

Best of luck. ....

Kevin, I agree with Murf's comment right after this question. To me good dealers are worth a ton. From what I have seen, you are truly professional. Also as Murf said, my two cents worth.

After thinking about the topic a bit more, my first reaction to the post was "Woops" wrong place but in the real world if someone is wanting to buy a Kubota they likely would have bought one whether or not the intrest was zero or a more traditional rate.
Likely few people who like green, blue, or an ovreseas brand with a name I can't pronounce are going to buy their favorite color anyway and usually what one company does with finance the others will follow or try to beat it.
I haven't looked at Kevin's website in a while, but last time I checked he did have plenty of orange paint sitting out front. ....

Not my Consensus.I have a problem when other people start speaking for me. I feel you have the right to offer any advise or opinion you have as long as it does not violate established posting rules. ....

Charlie, as stated in an above post, I have not offered programs up that I can remember, only assistance. Some may doubt that as well! ....
