I'm looking at a JD 2305 or a mahindra 2015. Both look like nice machines, both same price, but the Deere specs a Limited cat 1 3-point. What does this mean? Limited how? The Mahindra says cat 1 3-point.

"Category 1" is a size designation, so you know what category of rear attachments will fit. (Cat 0 is for garden tractors, 1 for compacts, 2 for agricultural machinery, 3 for huge rigs.)
"Limited" may be saying that (as is the case with most all compacts) the hitch and frame are not designed for attachments that can put an extreme strain on these parts (like a backhoe) unless you install a subframe to attach it to. ....

Frequently the term "Limited" means that it has a reduced lift height.
