New guy here, with first post.
My father and I have a JD 650 4wd with a FEL. I have been kicking around the idea of getting a new tractor. I looked today at a local dealer and found a JD 4110 with FEL for $13650. Came home to look at Deere.com to learn some about the tractor, because the dealer did not have a brochure. Long story short, after reading on here, I guess this tractor is no longer in production. Should I consider this model or look at the 2320? Thanks for any feedback. JC

I Dont understand why you want another tractor unless the 650 is not getting the job done. 16hp, Fel, 4wd, diesel, and you know the history. If you want a new tractor go for it JD is great. Before you buy make sure the unit will preform the job at hand. Underpowered is always bad. What is your plans for the new unit. ....

The 4110 is one of the most trouble free tractors on the market. The jury is still out on the 2520.
I assume this unit is new? Is it HST or Gear(manual transmission)? ....

The newer tractor is lighter than the 4110. If weight is an issue then? If cost is an issue, you should be able to do a very good deal on the older model. If it is HST it is a very good deal. Is it a 2305 or a 2520 you are comparing it with? I assumed the 2305. ....

Our 650 is going to need a clutch soon and the lift is getting weak, new fluid and filter cleaning did not help. I really like power steering also.
I guess would be using the new tractor in the same way. Bush Hogging, driveway maintenance, and some brush clearing.
The 4110 did have hydro tranny and is brand new. Salesman quoted me $13650 plus 1.5% tax. Thanks for the replies. JC ....

I don't see why it wouldn't work. I love having hydro on my 4310. There is something about having a new tractor... I like the style of the new model tractors, but beyond meeting some new engine emission requirements and updating the style, there isn't that much to gain by going to the new model vs the 4110. ....

$13,650 sounds like a pretty good deal for a new HST 4110 - they list for $15,000+ with out another $2,000 or so for the FEL. I noticed you can't price them online (at johndeere.com) anymore- whereas about 1-2 months ago you could - so maybe the dealer is looking to clean out his stock...

The 2320 or the 2520. I like Green, but should I also look at Kubota? JC ....
