I guess I would add that Shibaura makes the NH compacts so you many be able to cross reference the NH, wrecked NH or someone that wants to sell turf for the NH counterpart.

I have an old one, but only use it to heat the pool once in a while. I neighbour had one and I could smell it once in a while. The problem is the control on the system. You load the fire box and then it must keep the fire from boiling the water so it dampers down the fire. Basically unless you are calling for all the heat is a smudge pot or charcoal maker. If the wood is a little wet is is worse. Naturally as it will burn anything and creosote is not a problem .... :(<br>
Mine was expensive as it is all stainless, but I am sure there are better designs today. The stove Murf showed us a few years ago would burn anything without creating a smudge pot.<br>
The pool requires all the heat of 110,000 BTU so you are basically throwing wood in as fast as possible so.... :(<br>

As JD110 said to my knowledge all the 955 had mid PTO. Personally I have never had the cover off mine. I use a Bulher 60 inch 3pt mower. It is rear discharge. I can cut as close or closer around trees as a mid mount. I use the mower swing to my advantage.<br>
My lawn is Centipee with heavy clay soil so there is no problem with the rear tires on the grass. It does an excellent job.

Typically they used ethanol as the antifreeze in the old heating systems. That is why they were not particularly concerned about the mixing with the household water. Is there anyway to know what they used? Is the old company still around? If it is ethanol ..... you see where I am going....

It is good to place the backflow preventor on the line even if there is not a antifreeze in it. The line becomes stagnet and then you can have bacteria. Normally you will use a descaler and a anticorrosion agent in the line even if it has no antifreeze.

Yes the years are flashing past. I was trying to remember the first year I joined the other day. I think it was 6 going on 7 years. It has been fun. I am out to CA in the new year so I am not sure how much I will be posting for a while.

I pray everyone has a good coming new year. Lets keep our heads up and be safety minded.

I was unsure where this front loader was from. I thought maybe it was just a refronted Neptune. It is a heavy unit and most of the problems related on the web seemed to be vibration relating to weak floor structures or improper leveling. The unit makes little noise on the cement floor.

It is a heavy sucker so 1/2 the cost would be shipping if it is from Germany.

I can not say I always fill the filters, some like the metal one on the JD 750 you can't, but I even try to fill the ones that are side mounted 1/2 full.

It sounds to me like there is something wrong with the filter. What is the hydraulic pressure on the pump? If the pump can not push the oil through the filter then there must not be a hole through to the filter paper in the filter can. If you have 3000 psi differential on the filter paper it will collapse and provide flow. About the maximum you can have is 100 psi.

Don't get rid of that filter. As EW said he may have won the lottery. Wix at least should garantee the tractor transmission for the his life after providing a defective filter.

Just because they state the useful life as 3000 hrs this does not mean that they are lowering the life expectancy. If you note the recall testing period is 2250 hrs. This means it must meet the emission standards after this many hrs. To do this the manufactures must have tight machining and materials standards. They can have little wear between zero and 2250 hours.
Look what has happened to the life auto engines as emission have been increased.

I ran a 100 amp ciruit to the barn and then have a second box. I think I am 0 gauge. At 70 ft I think I would go with a little heavier gauge. There are tables available. I used them a couple of times when building as I needed temp. wire for the house and trailer. Hopefully someone has them available on the board or you can look them up to check.

Yes I think most of us on the board, except Oneace are getting too old to be standing in a snow bank wrenching on cars. One of the coldest jobs I can remember was replacing a clutch on my friends Camaro in Edson AB in April.

What I was trying to get at on my earlier question was whether the there was a heat riser for the incoming air on the 7.3? I have had the pipe corrode out on the back side and not draw air from the exhaust manifold heater into the air box and then wonder why I was getting carb icing. I thought it might be a simple solution that could have been over looked.

New list is probably about 14K or more. I would think you are 4K off list for 75 hrs. A good deal IMO.<br>

I would prefer to have the 200CX loader as the ability to quickly remove it is nice for mowing the lawn. You might see what he would do on at loader swap.

The machanical linkage is miles longer on the left than right. I normally had the brake pedals tied together, but the left tended to wear sooner. I am not sure the differential is competely centered so maybe one has greater torque.

It has dry brakes and is essentially the same as the JD 790. It might have been the springs. I was happy to go to the wet brakes and hydro.

Like EW we always had IH equipment when I was small and on the farm in ONT. Most of the farms around either had IH or MF equipment. Massey had bought our family farms in Canton so he had more than a little influence in the area. There were not many tractors in northern B.C. Not much farming. I never really got a look at the old JD equipment until I moved to KY and a friend had a barn full to tinker with. Like Art said they seem dated even for the era. My Oliver Super 55 with a Perkins engine and 3pt hitch was closer to a modern tractor than many of the same era Deere.

EW I can also remember riding the tow bar when disking and plowing. I was less than 6 at the time. Not something I would recommend today.

I had a 750 as my first compact, but 30 acres. It was not really big enough for some of the tasks. I traded it for the 955. I would think it would be a fairly good deal and able to do most tasks on 5 acres. A couple of HP would be better.

I would make sure you are not leaving any money on the table. Personally I have always been able to get my money back out of the tractor and if you decide to trade up it is nice to recoup all your money.

Good to hear the power is back. Lister made a small cogen system that used the waste heat from the engine to heat the house. If you sucked back 250 gallons of propane there must have been more than a little waste heat.
Did you consider just putting a heater coil in the heat pump ducts? You could run this off a hot water tank and then use waste heat like that from the generator. The old house had one and it ran off the outside wood burner. It kept the house toasty warm.

Well I am not a designer so I don't know how to name colors. I worked with a bunch on commercial wall covering for a while and you had to laugh. They could come up with 100 different names for the same shade of red.<br>
My daugher painted her room near that color. I think the paint can was called bubble gum blue. I thought she would run screaming out of it after a week or so, but she has lasted 4 years or more. Most people think it looks like the bottom of a pool, therefore ...... Sorry.<br>
