I think it is called deregulation. On the coast where I grew up and my father was a lineman. We had a thinning crew working full time removing brush and suspect trees. We seldom had the power out. They laid the crew off and then got contractors in to thin once in a while. My fathers overtime doubled. Someone just looked at the cost of the thinning not the cost of overtime for the linemen or the risk it put them in. In addition we lost a friend and nearly a whole line crew do to over loaded lines and trees that had grown too close to 500 KV lines.<br>
The old thinning crew took ownership of their lines and their work. They knew the problem areas. They kept the brush at the required distances. With the rate that the trees like alder grow it is essential that you stay on top of them. A contractor sweeping through once every few years can not stay ahead of the problems. If a tree dies how long does it take it to be a problem? Here with the pine it is about a year.

Adding to what EW wrote it is not a bad idea to heat up the oils and make sure that you remove as much condensation as possible.

EW Is there another bypass valve that could be stuck open?

How much oil leaked in total? I certainly have lost a lot of oil and never lost a pump.

Naturally I have blown up a pump, but it was cavitating for a while before it broke.

The new units have separate pumps for power steering and hydraulic implements. I think the old TC33 was the same if my memory serves me.

Can you see the glow from the preheat? Ie is the preheat working?
Are you sure it is pumping fuel. What color is the exhaust as you are cranking?

Frank I was thinking a small building above ground. Lacing the reinforcing bar across the ceiling and pouring as a monolithic structure. I bit like a WW II pill box. I would thing 5000 BTU would keep it cool. They use these materials for cold storage building with the walls being white.
I could be below ground but thought it would be more useful above round. They have tested the walls for 150 mph debree so it should be sufficient.
Like you said I am a bit worried about condensation and freezing of the air conditioner.

Friends in KY claimed such. As a transplanted northerner the variation in names has confused me. I have heard Osage Orange, Bois d'arc, Bodock Tree, Horse Apple, Hedge Apple and Road Apple. We attended a Bodock festival in Pontotoc MS this year and I had no idea what it was.

I have also heard they will keep the mice away. I don't think they are poisonous so I have no idea why they would. The horses seem to like them.

Sorry. I was trying to find how Ken and our friends in the NW got hit again as this storm developed from what seems like no where. I found this on Diabetes instead. As the it affects many and some member I know, I thought I would post for others to read. My father developed type II later in life.

Let me try this again. Matt if the starter is clicking it is not likely a safety switch as the switch normally locks out the starter. I would suspect that you have a bad (corroded) ground from the battery. I would clean all the ends of the battery cables and see if it helps.

Old Baird the guy with the 53 Chev also had about #1 or 2 Mercedes diesel car. It was prewar and has near a million km when I last saw it. Mercedes supplied parts just to keep it on the road. The medallions basically filled the tiny grill. I doubt old Baird knew what performance was on the road, although he claimed to be a pilot in Korea and broke both legs in a crash. He walked with a limp so who knows. Maybe he decided he wasn't going to travel that fast again, both vehicles had a hard time keeping up with traffic.

In the south we either deep fry or barbeque everything. I like the deep fried turkeys, but I am sure the cholesterol levels will not. I have the turkey on the spit in the barbeque as we write. Makes the meat taste like smoked turkey. Makes the left overs nice and moist. Now I just have to smell it for 4 or 5 hours.

Ann; Yes the one in the nest is close with the small tuffs at the ears. I guess the size of the tuffs are also a variant along with color.

My Cherokee was one of the first Quadra tracs. It had the GM TH400 transmission and the sturdy alumium chain driven transfer case. It had rare front are rear ends, I am not sure if they were limited slips or what. The thing would go anywhere. I had it walking on glare ice and steep hills a couple of times.<br>

The one Subaru system is essentually the old locked tranfer case with the computer locking up the clutch when needed.

Can I remember them and pray for them after the meal. The thought of a turkey MRE in the dust may spoil my bird. The turkey MRE is bad enough without being away from home, living in danger and eating the dust. Maybe we should wish they get the lasagna for Thanks Giving and forget where they placed the turkey. :)

I talked with Kioti a few years back about a dealership and looked closely at the line. At the time the new Kioti regime was taking over and they had grand plans. I know the area sales managers were given the control to close dealerships they thought did not follow the Kioti standards. I knew at the time these were evolving so?<br>
I thought at the time the marketing plans for the US are some American MBA's not Korean. It certainly does not follow the normal Korean mode that I have seen. I have some connections to Samsung and Hyundai. I know they are quite loyal to their suppliers and vendors. <br>
