i am considering the purchase of a new b7610. pricing below is for the basic tractor.
i will be using it for small food plots and bush hogging on hunting property.
i have narrowed it down to the b7610 hst. i strongly considered the b7510 hst. the pricing was $9420-$9800 for them and the 7610 seemed like the better choice. i am sure the extra hp will be useful.
i have found 2 dealers closeby with the following pricing:
b7610hst, r4 tires and foldable rops- $10,000. this dealer is 30 miles away.
b7610hst, r4 tires, foldable rops and grill guard- $10,200.
the dealer at $10,200 came down from $10,500 and agreed to throw in the grill guard which i wanted anyway. they told me they were firm at $10,500 but it never hurts to ask. this dealer is 10 miles away.
i will be taking advantage of the 36mo 0% deal.
do these prices sound reasonable?
comments, suggestions and things to look out for are welcome.
this is my first post and thanks for reading.
thanks to scnative for telling me about the site.

Do you get better vibes from one dealer than the other? Does one have a better reputation than the other? How about service policy - what do they charge to send a guy out or pick up your machine for service? ....

If you are ultimately getting a FEL, the grill guard is usually included in the price quoted for the FEL as it provides part of the support for the loader brackets.
I have the B7610 and it is a great machine, if you get the loader the 352 is worth the extra cash.
Prices seem OK just dealer preference at that small a difference.

kwschumm,
thanks for the reply.
i have little feedback on either dealer. i feel best about the closer dealer. they are a family owned business and have been easy to work with. i am willing to pay their price and will buy a disc harrow, rotary cutter and box scraper at the same time. they offered the use of a trailer to deliver it. i have a truck to pull it with.
if they will throw in the 50 hour svc i am going to try to close the deal.
i plan to purchase a trailer. taking it in for svc won't be a problem.

DennisCBT,
Thanks for the feedback. a front loader will be added in the future for sure. i am aware the grill guard comes with the package. i want one before i start bush hogging with it.
i will get the largest loader it will accept. thanks for the suggestion.
i saw the dealers pricing screen with cost. it looks like the margin is less than 10%. i thought that seemed fair?
thanks again for the insight and suggestions. ....

I have never heard of a dealer that was so close and would not deliver a brand new machine only 10 miles, to me that is a shocker and red flag!
When you need warranty work is he going to loan you the manual and rent you the tools ;-)
I have been involved in several purchases, generally up to 50 miles is usually free on a purchase. Thereafter it is usually on a mileage basis for service. ....

i asked to borrow the trailer not for delivery. the property where i will be using the machine first is 50+ miles from their location. i also need to drop it by my house (10-15 miles in the other direction) and scrape the yard to level out some places where stumps were ground. they have not refused to deliver.
thanks for the insight. ....
