I bought my YM169D-4WD with a back hoe and front end loader attached, a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, there was no manual, and the two lower arms of the 3 point hitch were missing. I would like to know the weight of my tractor, and approx. how much weight to add for the hoe and loader. I have a 3500 lb. single axle trailer, and wonder if it can take the load for transporting it. I also would like to know if lower arms for the 3 point hitch from other tractors might work. Thanks for entertaining my questions.

According to Tractor Data your 169d weighs in around 1300#. No clue what loader or backhoe you have so I picked a couple. A Koyker model 650 loader that would match your tractor weighs in at 408#. A Bush Hog brand backhoe model 665H weighs in at about 650#. I looked up a single axle 6 x 12 3500# axle trailer that weighs in at 635#. Add all those up and you get 2993#. Whether these numbers match you I don't know, if so, you would be good to go. I personally would prefer a double axle for this. Yes, some lift arms will interchange, but I believe you will need offset arms for yours. ....

If you're sure the implements at each end won't be too long for the trailer, it won't break if you use it for a short distance in a pinch. But as you drive on, the trailer will really pull up at the hitch, and when you drive, it better be positioned for around a 200-pound tongue weight.
I should add this. There are official capacity specs for the trailer, hitch, and tow vehicle. You can probably use these components at double their rating but if anything happens, questions like these may follow.
Driver: "Who can I blame?"
Police: "What charges can we lay?"
Insurer: "Can I see the clause about the policy being void if a claim ensued pursuant to the infraction of any relevant statute?"
Wife: "Where are we going to live now?" ....

Following up on Auerbach on driving on it place blocks under the rear of the trailer to help limit the lifting of the hitch. ....

Bryant,
What is the make and model of the loader on your YM169D tractor? My neighbor is looking for one. Did you have to make any adapters?
Thanks,
Dave ....
