hello we purchased a 1433 MF backhoe and loader oct. 2002 and have had nothing but trouble with the backhoe, MF had to replace the tractor the engine blowed up. we have broke several pins on the hoe the hydrolics are slow and sluggish after the tractor gets warm it doesn't have enough power to pull itself forward. it is a nice looking unit with a frame stabilizer on the hoe. it seems to be a very cheaply made product. i think the company is going to give our money back. has anyone bought one of these 1433 and did they have any problems with it. any recommendation of a better tractor. thanks robin

I have not heard any bad info posted on the board. I would think that it sounds as if there is something wrong with the hydraulic pump of relief valve. Most of the hoe units are not from the same source as the tractor.
If your primary application for the tractor is using it as an excavator then I would either look at a larger unit like a NH 555 or check out Kubota's L35. ....

please explain what you mean when you say excavator, we bred and raise horses on a small farm in wv, we are digging ditches moving dirt and filling in places in our yard. if this tractor can't do what i ask it to do it is one sick machine it has 90hrs. and is 11 months old mainly because its been in the shop a lot. the backhoe has a lot of slack and the hydrolics aren't working very well either but the company thinks everything is up to specs, thanks for your help,robin ....

If you're still on good terms with the dealer maybe they will let you take a different one home to compare against. Maybe yours is just a lemon or maybe the tractor is just not up to your expectations. You sound really unhappy with it so if you can get your money back you'd probably be better off - otherwise every problem will be like pouring salt into an open wound. ....

Hard to help without lots more info. I have a MF 1260 which is a close relative, and in 6 1/2 or so years it has been 100% reliable. I do not have a backhoe on that tractor.
First is this tractor a hydro and are you saying it won't go when you want it too?
Small backhoes will not do the work of a Case 480. They can be very frustrating if attempting more than designed for or if bucket is too big for digging conditions. The fact that you've broken pins would suggest that backhoe is being used beyond it's capability.
Anything you do at this point is likely very costly. Very sorry to hear about your problems. ....
