Looking at some type of quick hitch attachment for my JD4400. Have a mismash of equipment from varying sources, so would like something that will be compatible across the board.

Anyone have any experience with skidsteersolutions EZ-Change? Or recommendations for any other options.

For near-universal hookups the EZ Change is probably the best way to go. Since they will push your lower links out a few inches there is a small possibility that your top link and/or pto shafts may end up too short in some cases.

One of the benefits of an I-Match type three-point hookup is that you can attach non-pto implements without getting out of the seat. That won't be possible with the EZ Change, but it's probably not an issue unless you change implements a lot. ....

I was very interested in the easy change system until I learned it is really not compatible with top n' tilt.

As Ken pointed out, you may have to change out some of your PTO shafts if there is not an extra 4-5 inches of stretch in them. ....

Thanks guys. Jury is still out on this one for me. I'll have to think on it some more.

Another question for both of you...top and tilt?

Can I run this off my 3rd SCV? If so, where should I look for a cylinder set-up for this?

Thanks again for the input.

PS: Kwschumm...The bodozer grapple is working great! ....

You have to have a set of dedicated SCV's in the system somewhere, if it already there so much the better.

Some folks here (with welding skills) have purchased cylinders and built their own. Short of that, your dealer should be able to point you toward a proper fitting system.

Aftermarket Tn'T kits tend to be regional. Mine came from Gearmore, but that probably won't help someone on the East Coast very much. ....

Yeah, you have to have a set of SCV's somewhere. You might be able to rig up some sort of re-plumb to allow you to use either the loader OR the TnT but not both. Something like moving hoses or maybe even a diverter valve. I don't know much about rigging something like that up. I think you can add a 4th and 5th SCV on the 4400 with JD parts, and of course they'd be happy to sell you a TnT kit too, but that stuff isn't cheap.

Glad to hear your grapple is working out well. They sure are nice to have when you need to do some heavy grabbing and lifting. ....
