Ok
JD 4110 $13600
Kubota B7500 $9850
Delta $3,750
38% surcharge for the John Deere over the Kubota
Both engines are made in Japan (Yanmar vs Kubota)
Can anyone justify why these seemingly comparable machines are so different in price. Is the Deere simply the Mercedes in this category with superior engineering, quality reliablity? Hmmmm
It is clear that Deere's model is to factor out the pieces of the Tractor to other companies, Frontier, Yanmar..... I think this makes each piece more expensive and that plus the Deere logo and some well thought out operation features makes it up. But for me I could not justify spending 38% more for essentially the same thing.
Any thoughts on this or is the price difference actually less?

Dennis,
You'll need to give some more details on what is included in that price. The JD list price on the 4110 with the standard collarshift transmission is $12239 and the gear transmission is standard on the B7500 too.
Here are things to look into.
4110 has shift-on-the-go 4WD, not sure about B7500
4110 has folding ROPS available
4110 collarshift is 8x4 (forward/reverse,)B7500s has 6x2
B7500 has two more inches of ground clearance
They look pretty closely matched but I don't think the price difference in an apples-to-apples comparison is as far apart as you indicate. ....

Kubota didn't say anything about a folding ROPS on their web site, but they still list the B7500 not the B7510.
The 4110 has slightly higher hydraulic capacity (0.4 gpm) and 100 lbs more 3ph lift capacity than the B7500 (don't know about the B7510) but there doesn't seem to be enough feature difference to justify the JD price premium. ....
