I know some of you could tell me where the switch is located for the pto on this 4200. I had to jump the seat switch to keep it running when the pto was not engaged.

It's not clear (to me anyway) what switch you're looking for. You seem to know about the seat switch and the pto engagement switch. ....

Not sure on the 4200 but the PTO switch on a 4600 was a yellow pull/push knob below the steering wheel. ....

I believe you are talking about the switch to keep the PTO running while you are not on the tractor and in neutral and running something like a log splitter.
My answer is I don't know, but the one for the 955 is under the seat. ....

The older 4200 has a manual lever to engage the pto and disengage it. Evidentaly the switch that is made when you disengage the pto is bad, but I cant find it. ....

Likely in the transmission housing. I would look for a wire coming out of the transmission housing. It is likely just a bad connection. ....
