Does anyone know where the best deal is on a gallon of John Deere green paint? I have to paint the new hooks on my bucket and I also have red and yellow attachments I would like to paint JD green.

If you want to match colors exact or very close with hardners any major auto refinisher supplier will have the stuff. You will have to spray paint and have a thick wallett.

If you just wanna dab some green paint on, tractor supply also sells what they call JD Green. It will look ok brushed on and if it sits out you will notice some fade in a couple of years.

JD dealers have some spray bombs that will also do the job and you can go back time after time and get a can or 2 as you need it. This seems to be the easiest and least wasteful route for me. I have done them all.

Finish coats with hardners will give the best look and service. ....

Thanks Harvey, I hadn't thought of tractor supply. They just opened a new store near me. I also see that Rustoleum also sells spray cans of JD Green. I am not particular. If I don't paint these attachments JD Green, my wife will have me painting them "forest" green with epoxy paint left over from another job. She's tired of seeing red and yellow attachments outside her kitchen window. Thanks for the advice! ....

A 12 oz. spray can from John Deere is only $4.95 and goes a long ways. Nothing like the authentic. I sometimes cover it with a clear top coat that helps with reduced fading. ....

Your green fades pretty good so the match from the can will not always match what is on the tractor even if it is the Deere match.
The paint on the line will vary some also. Neighbor is a paint line retired.
I have found the Deere match similar to other tractor stores. If you want a car type match you need someone to match what is on the tractor. But it is a tractor!!!. ....
