Just hooked up my mower to the Agracat 2920 (Jinma254) and the PTO isn't working/turning. The lever (eng/dis) down by my right foot moves freely up/down and I can manually turn the PTO shaft when it's in either position. I don't hear any grinding or unusual sounds or vibrations and everything else seems just fine.
Any thoughts as to why this would suddenly go out or how to repair/fix? Is this some kind of yoke/fork the engages/disengages the gears?
Thanks

Make sure the lever for your two speed PTO is not in neutral. You want 540

Ranchhand - I thought of that but I'm not sure which one it is. I've always just used the eng/dis lever so maybe I'll have to fiddle around a bit and see if I can find it. My neighbot did borrow it a month ago to plow some snow so maybe he changed it.
Thanks ....

Kalpia,
I am also having this problem and after some research I found that a linkage inside needs replacing or re-setting. I am working on this problem this morning. Hopefully, a quick fix. I'll post it here for you when I'm done. ....

Well I went into the casing below the seat and everything looked normal. I manually put the gears into there proper location and everything appeared to worked fine. I manually worked the PTO from behind and found resistance from the gears. I tried it in 540 as well as 1000. However after putting everything back together again I found that the PTO still was not working. So now I'm lost and not sure what else to try. Any ideas? ....

This is a bit late, but maybe someone else can benefit from my answer:
I have a FarmPRO 2524 tractor. It was working like a champ last Fall. I lent it to a buddy to help move some trees. He removed the brush hog. When I reconnected it, the PTO did not work! I sat on that machine trying everything - but still no PTO. Then I looked closely under the seat. There are TWO levers that have the ENG/DIE stamped on it. Both need to be in the ENG position in order for the PTO to work. After pressing both down, the PTO worked like a champ again! I hope this helps someone keep their sanity. ....

The PTO is strictly mechanical, no "valve". I suspect you're looking at the wrong page, possibly the rear hydraulic lift. The PTO mechanisms are under that sump, internal to the rear differential housing.
