Hi Guys,

I have a JD Model 80 FEL. I have been told that I need to replace the hydraulic cylinders because the ones I have are worn out and the cylinders are scorned. The replacement ones are 400.00 a piece. What do you think my option would be?

1. Buy the new ones

2. Buy new ones from somewhere else (not JD)

3. Find someone to repair them (Not sure if this is even possible)

I heard of having the cylinders repacked but I am not sure if this is a option because I don’t know what is involved.

Thank you for all your help.

I'd take the cylinders to a hydraulic shop and have them rebuilt. If they can't be rebuilt then they'd probably have a much better price on new ones than JD. ....
