I was wondering if anyone has used a landscape rake to clean up branches etc.after clearing woods w/ a highlift. got a big mess to clean up before disking.thanks

I have used a landscape rake for the last three weekends on two acres for probably a total of twenty hours. I used it primarily to clear up rocks and limbs on land that was clear cut and the stumps bulldozed. It did a great job but it takes a lot of time and patience. The more you use it, the smoother and better the property gets (rocky and hard clay soil). Feel free to e-mail if you have any specific questions. ....

I've been using an old JD hay rake, with great sucess,(auction price 15.00) it well pick up the major stuff, but well leave the small twigs, and rocks behind. ....

I used a york rake after initial clearing, worked well. After the excavator got done digging out stumps I switched to a landscape box to move dirt around and get to roots. Broke my old grey market kubota though, now I be a John Deere man :) see above. ....

What does a landscape rake look like? I have some woods with tall grass and lots of deadfall limbs and stuff that I need to get cleaned up so I can mow. How expensive an implement is it, and how do you go about it? I have a Kubota B2710. ....
