I am thinking of buying the 30hp 4wd tractor w/bucket from Northern Tool & Equip. Can any one tell me how it will be shipped and what to do to prepare for it.

Why don't you ask them? If it originates overseas my guess is crated, wheels off and uninflated, dry. If so, the easiest way to prepare is to arrange with a local dealer for it to be shipped to their shop for preparation and delivery. They might cost the retail value of the time and materials at around $1000. To do it on your own, there's a good Chinese-tractor website on which one of their members posted photos from crate to great. ....

If you look at the Nortrac Forum it seems that most people that have bought one bought it after looking at it at a local store assembled and running. But you should check with Northern for your location. If you are not close to a store or a Northern service center that has them, IMHO I would be reluctant to go ahead with one.

Their large tractors, 60 hp and above are Fotons with a Perkins diesel engine. I think their small tractors are Jinmas with a Chinese diesel engine. PJ ....

Tractor is assembled and ready to use. It ships via truck and when it arrives in town the truck driver arranges for a flat bed tow truck to unload the tractor to and the tow truck driver delivers the tractor to your door. The tractor is driven off the tow truck at your property. ....

Dave is correct. My NT254 was delivered right to my doorstep last July. They started it up and drove it off the flatbed for me. ....
