Looking at a 1160 Massy Ferguson with about 1800hrs. It makes a noise while in 4 wheel drive. Any ideas as to the problem and cost to fix? Thanks

If the noise is a growling or laboring sound, could be drive line bind-up. The first thing I'd look at is tire inflation and secondly if the tires are at the rated diameter or more accurately proper circumference. If one or more tires is out of spec. drive line bind up will occur. It sounds much worse on hard surfaces, yet hardly existent on muddy surfaces where the tire(s) can slip alleviating bind up. ....
