I'm looking for some type of baffle that will attach to the discharge of the 54 inch MMM on a Kubota BX2350. I want to be able to mulch leaves, but do not want the expense or bother of the grass mulching kit that Kubota offers.

Does anyone know of an after market company that offers such a thing?

To chop the leaves and let them sit, replace the factory blades with mulching ones. They have bigger turn-ups that keep the debris flying around and getting hit more often. You can repeat the passes until satisfied, using high engine speed and low ground speed. If you want to collect the chopped leaves, mulching blades would help, but there'd be a single pass. ....

Auer is on the right track, I use a set of Gator blades and just keep running over them till they are dust. Any of those chute blocking gizmoa I've been around didn't do anything only plug the deck up. The gator blades didn't impress me much in regular mowing but they sure grind up leaves and walnuts. ....

Cut throwing the debris into where you are cutting next pass. I begin on the outside and cut in with discharge chute throwing in and it works fine for me. You may have to make a few passes throwing the debris out when you get all cut.

Agree with both above. ....

Gents--

Thanks for tip on baffle. Sorry for the delay in response.

Hardwood--

Are "Gator" blades available from the dealer, or are they an after market specialty item? If speciality, can you recommend a seller?

tks
