My local Kubota dealer sells LandPride and I purchased one of the 5' rear blades. Does a good job for snow removal and the price was right...

I've got several Landpride impliments, box blade, rear mount finish mower, landscape rake, etc. A bit pricey compared to farm store brands, but good equipment. I did one time have a spindle hub break on a mower after waranty, don't know if dealer or Landpride stood the cost, but absolutely no hassle. It gets used a lot and no problem since. Frank.

Which LP did you get ?

I'm looking at the LP RBT15 60" at 283 lbs.

Do you think that is to much?

A 54 inch rear blade would be ideal for a BX, but it will handle a 60.

A 60 inch box scraper would be way too much.

Len; about all you want to do with a box blade is cover the width of the tractor by a few inches on each side. Mine has the standard manual adjustment on the scarifier teeth instead of hydraukic and unless you are going to use it commercialy you don't need the hydraulic, you don't change them that often. You will amaze yourself on how much dirt you can move in a days work with even the smaller box blade, they are a neat tool. I think mine is the 60 inch with seven teeth. Enjoy whatever you get. Frank.

Len one thing to be sure of is that you are getting the catagory O-1 hitch on the attachments that you purchase as only the latest mmodel has the catagory 1 hitch.

Len; Another thing I've learned about a box blade. The scarifier teeth on my Landpride are adjusted indivdually, so by doing a little experimenting If I want to cut a shallow ditch along a drive it is easy to get the angle started by lowering the teeth on one half of the box and keeping them up on the other side. Maybe not as slick as a top and tilt kit on the three point, but it works. Frank.

Len,
I have a bx1500 with a KK XB box blade. I have about 20 hours on it right now. With rippers it weighs almost 300lbs. The weight is no problem for the tractor. In fact I add 100lbs to it from time to time. I would not go any larger than 48" unless all you are planning to do is grade horse corrals. My BB ran me about $350 from TSC. I could not bring myself to spend $600+ on the other brands because I will not be using it that much in the long run. Also, the KK XB models give you more lift height due to the fact that they are designed with the lower geometry of the BX line in mind.
