 B-7800 HSD-F Price check

Folks,

Thanks in advance for any info you can provide

Just received the following quote from my local dealer on a B7800 HSD-F and am curious as to what you think of the price

B 7800HSD-F $12,999
LA 402-1 $ 3,212
B1617 Bucket $ 513
60 in Tiller $ 2,480

After tax total $ 19,265

Iím also looking at a TC 30 NH and wondered if anyone had any input on a head to head comparison of the TC-30 and the B-7800 ... the price for both look to be about the same

Thanks
Rick in mild North Dakota

 B-7800 HSD-F Price check

Price seems comparable to what we paid 2 years ago, so you are getting a reasonable deal. The f-series includes the folding roll bar and the mid pto. Make sure you are getting the f-series 7800.

As far as the old Blue vs. Orange vs. Green,... same old story. Pick the machine you are most comfortable operating from a dealer you would be comfortable doing business with on a continuous basis.

Besides that, it's personal opinion.........the fronts of the Blue Tractors have become uh...ugly?

Have fun with your tractor, whatever color it is.

I don't know how NJ prices compare to those in ND, but all things being equal this seems to be on the high end of the quotes I got (and I got 5) when I was shopping. The MSRP on B7800HSD-F itself is $13,999. You want to make sure you're getting at least 12% off the MSRP. Seems like you're getting less than 8% off the tractor and I assume the markup on the attachments is the same. Then again, if there's only one dealer in your area, he can set a higher price, but you can always go for a different color, if anything else, as a bargaining tool.

Have fun shopping.

 B-7800 HSD-F Price check

Horse-Farmer,

I called the dealer a moment ago and he said MRSP on B7800 was $14,299?

As far as being a bit high I can only say there doesnít seem to be a great deal of completion between the three dealers here ... NH, Deere, and Kubota.

The Kubota guy also quoted a price of just a little over 20K for a standard trans L3400 with bucket/Loader and 60 in Kubota Tiller ... Yes ... I'm also considering this tractor due to it's increased PTO HP/bucket lift capacity...

Love to look at Deere but their financing isnít as user friendly as the other two.

Anyway ...

Prompted by your suggestion; I also called the NH Dealer who quoted me $17,115 for a TC30 4WD with a 7800 loader. MRSP was $17,155. Based on what you said ... well it's not the best deal planet earth ever saw.

So thatís where Iím at. Today I go to a fellas house who has a couple hundred acres with some horses/cows ... hope to gain some insight into which one of the above three tractors will best serve me now and in the future.

Thanks again for the help
Rick

PS Your right Bealge ... The TC is a tad ugly

Rick,
The dealer must be right on the MSRP. I was giving you last year's number for a rigid ROPS model, which is less, of course. Even so, he's not giving you much of a discount (just under 10%). Then again, he has to make a living, too.
As far as L3400 with gear trans, I'd go for a hydrostatic for loader work, just my opinion.

Anyways, I hated the shopping myself. When you do get that tractor delivered and go out there to take care of business, you won't care much if you paid a few hundred bucks more or less.

Horse Farmer,

I hear ya on the Hydo ... for me it would be a cost cutting move to gain the increased PTO and loader capacity.

Man this picking a tractor is tuff stuff. The farmer down the road looked at me like I had three heads today when I told him I was looking at a new tractor.

Anyway thanks again
Rick

Rick,

Funny how we form opinions. Surprised me on the Kubota in ND. Thought you would have been discussing Agco or Cat or such in that part of this great country.

Based upon my own experience I like my Orange pumpkins and have had right good service even with an unusual trans problem recently that cost some serious pocket money (past warranty). This experience helps me say what I have before, be sure you and the dealership are comfortable with each other. A couple of hundred dollars lower price up front may cost you a lot over the years. As a local dealer told me, he will be back, he bought a tractor!
