Don't mean to run off with this thread but I've got a couple questions/observations that may be worth chunking in here.<br>

Is it possible to widen the rear tires on the L3400 � I ask because I�ve driven the L3130, B3030,and New Holland TC33 ... of those the L3130 felt the most stable to me.<br>
I think that�s because it�s so much wider than the others.<br>
I think I would be interested in looking at the L3400 if I could get it to sit as wide as the L3130.<br>

Lastly ... does the L3130 seem to be underpowered for it's size?<br>
The JD 990 is just a tad lighter than the L3130 however it seems to have great deal more HP ... Just one of those things that made me go HMM <br>

ALL/Art,

Thanks for the heads up ... based on your input I'm going on an extended road trip ... actually I intended on going to Jamestown tomorrow and returning to make my decision between the DX and TC however I'll now be traveling on for an overnight in Grandforks to look at a L3430 ... can you belive the wife sugested it :-) actually she wants me to get this tractor as much if not more than me.

So, I'll share what I ended up getting in a couple days

Rodger that on the customer service ... I hear you loud and clear ... the NH dealership does seem to have more service equipment capacity than the other I'm currently considering. <br>

I just saw a brand new TC 33DA sitting in their lot as I was driving back from town. Had to stop and double back to check it out ... WOW ... what a sweet looking little machine :-) <br>

Horse Farmer,

I hear ya on the Hydo ... for me it would be a cost cutting move to gain the increased PTO and loader capacity.

Man this picking a tractor is tuff stuff. The farmer down the road looked at me like I had three heads today when I told him I was looking at a new tractor.

Hello folks, <br>
My home sits on a fenced 1.5 acres surrounded by another relatively well fenced 23 acres of some times steep pasture, trees and a livestock pond. My problem is I don�t have a real plan for it yet. I know I�ll need to do some grading and finish mowing around the home this spring/summer but beyond that I�m just not certain. That being said I THINK I�m looking for the largest tractor I can get that will do finish mowing without tearing up the lawn and some loader work � of special note � three to four feet under front lawn sits three runs of 90 ft plastic septic lines � don�t want to disturb those. I THINK a sub compact would do the trick but I THINK I want something larger in the event I decide to start doing some pasture work.<br>
Based on the above � what tractor suggestions would you folks have? <br>
We have NH, JD and Kubota dealers in the area. <br>

K,

I'm not familiar with icynene foam but I like the idea of someone else handling the job ... just have to see how costly it is. Then sell the idea to the wife ;-)
