New to tractors as well, but need one. Saw an ad for Kubota L2850 4WD Diesel Appx 28HP $12,900. Comes with a loader and scraper and they will deliver. Said he was not firm on the price. Keep in mind I live in Calif. Also, am looking at the compact tractors and wondering if they can get the job done. 19.5HP doesn't seem like much. Anybody have any input?

Whether it can do the job depends on what you need to do. You'd be amazed at what you can do with seemingly little hp. ....
