I am moving up. I currently have a BX15 with FEL and mid mount mower. I am looking to trade up. I have a quote for the following.
L2800DT 4WD HST $13999
LA463 FEL $4200
RCR1860 5' shredder $1299
SBX60 Box Blade $675
They are offering $5000 trade in for the BX15 that has 650 hours.
Looking for feed back on price and trade in 4.

I don't know the local market and am not sure what a shredder is (wood chipper?), and you would by now know what you want, but seems to me once you've had 4WD and a FEL they would be requirements. ....

I made the purchase, a shredder is a mid mount rough cut mower. The 4wd with FEL is a must, after you have had one you can't do with out it.

jhr, not a lot of mid mount mowers of any type used here other than on smallest of tractors but did not realize there was a rough cut mid mount mower. How large of tree or brush will it cut and is there is problem with the rear wheels running over the stuble? ....

I'm not aware of a mid mount shredder either, but I'm guessing by the letters in the model number and mostly by the price of 1299., that he means a rear mount rotary cutter. Any mid mount mowers I've looked at for a compact from Deere were nearly three times that money, unless it is a used one. ....
