80's JD 855, loader, belly finish mower, 4WD, 24HP, good condition, $9k, no warranty, 6% financing
versus
2003 New Holland TC30, NO implements, 2WD, 30 HP, $10,500, 24 month warranty, 0% financing for 36 months
I'm leaning toward the JD at this point due to the implements and the 4WD. The TC30 has an $1,100 option for 4WD. Thoughts please?! I'm new to tractors.

If you want a loader 4WD is a must. You will also need implements. To make the comparison valid you'd need to add in the cost of 4WD, FEL, and comparable implements to the TC30 - I'm guessing at maybe $7000 for new stuff. This brings the comparison to $9k+interest for a 24hp machine vs. $17.5k for a 30 hp machine. Only your budget and needs can answer that, but it's always nice to have new stuff with a warranty. And tractor repairs can cost a LOT. ....
