I have a 4310 e hydro. It will go forward but not backward. I changed the trans oil and filter and cleaned the suction line screen. I get 2 codes. Short, long, long, short and long, short, long, short. Please help!
Thanks

short,long,long,short is MFWD speed sensor.

long, short, long, short is brake switch input. Solution to this is to make sure brake is released and, if so, adjust or replace brake switch.

Have you been driving through tall brush or bottomed out on anything recently? The wiring harness underneath the tractor is somewhat exposed and has been known to be damaged. Probably the first thing to do is crawl under the tractor and check all the wiring, looking for damaged wires or connections. Also check for any sticks or debris that might be in the hydro pedal linkage. ....

On my tractor I was losing power in reverse, though I had full power forward (HST transmission). It turns out that the mounting bolts for the HST pedals on the frame rail became loose and made reverse push down without any effect. Solution was simple just torque down the bolts or replace any missing bolts. Hope that works in your case. ....
